J. Brent Myers

Chief Medical Officer (CMO), ESO

Dr. J. Brent Myers is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for ESO, a leading software provider for fire departments, EMS, and hospitals. He is an internationally recognized expert in EMS and Mobile Integrated Healthcare, and is triple-board certified in the areas of emergency medicine, emergency medical services, and clinical informatics.

Dr. Myers' areas of expertise include evidence-based performance measures, system design, care for the patient in cardiac arrest, and population health management. He served as Director/Medical Director for the Wake County EMS System in Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as the CMO for Evolution Health and the Associate CMO of American Medical Response (AMR).

Dr. Myers is past President of the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP) and of the North Carolina College of Emergency Physicians (NCCEP). He serves as an editor for the NAEMSP textbook Emergency Medical Services: Clinical Practice and Systems Oversight and remains highly involved in peer-review research activities.

Dr. Myers received a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MPH from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health, and an MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
